The
Properties Button
The Properties button lets you tell GenCat about
your online hosting and Commerce accounts as well as customize the look
and feel of your catalog.

Pressing
the Upload button reveals the panel to the left. If you have
and questions about what to write in these fields contact your web
site hosting company and they can help you.
- FTP Host
- The name of the computer with your web site
- FTP Directory
- The name of the directory into which you want your catalog saved
- Username
- Your FTP account username
- Password
- Your FTP account password
- OK
and Cancel - Make sure
to press OK to submit changes

Pressing
the Account button reveals the panel to the right. This panel
asks for your Gamma Burst commerce account information. If you don't
know yet whether you want to use Gamma Burst as your e-commerce
provider, make sure the Demo Mode
box is checked. That way you can build and test your catalog without
an account. When you decide to sign up, click on the Create Account
button and you can start making money online!
- 00-SITEID
- The ID provided by Gamma Burst for this catalog
- 00-SERVER
- The server number assigned to this account by Gamma Burst
- Password
- The password you selected for this GB account
- 00-PARTNERID
- If you are building this catalog for a client, make sure you
are a Gamma Burst partner and place your partner ID here- for
more info see the Gamma Burst web site
- OK
and Cancel - Make sure
to press OK to submit changes

Pressing
the Customize button reveals the panel to the left. Here,
you can set the various colors and template information for your
catalog.
- Look
and Feel
- Text
Color - The color for standard readable text
- Link
Color - The color for unvisited links
- Active
Link Color - The color a link will turn as someone clicks
on it
- Visited
Link Color - The color a link will turn after it has been
clicked and viewed
- Background
Color - The color of the background of your catalog pages
- Font
- A comma delimited list of fonts for the text in your catalog
(e.g. Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif)
- Icon
Size - Some templates use icons for product and category
images and, of those, you are permitted to set the size of the
icons in pixels
- Money
Symbol - The monetary symbol for your country, The default
for the USA is: US $
- More
Colors
- Color
1, 2, & 3 - Additional colors that may be used in templates
- Template
Information
- Available
Templates - The list of templates you have downloaded to
your computer
- Template
Info - Click this button to see the requirements and addtional
notes associated with any of your templates

and Cancel - Make sure
to press OK to submit changes
